Well, I wouldn’t necessarily call it a vaca, but I’ve recently been blessed with a change of scenery from good ‘ol Bloomington, IN. After months of waiting, my Rebbetzin finally gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. You may be thinking, what does this have to do with Pittsburgh? Well, 4 days after she gave birth, we all packed up the U-Haul and the kids and moved to Pittsburgh. It may sound a little crazy, and I will admit that it was a bit hectic at first. After being here for a week, everyone is starting to get settled in, and I’m just loving checking out what the ‘burgh has to offer.
I’m pretty sure I like Pittsburgh better than Bloomington as of this point. It’s probably mostly because there’s an awesome, frum community here. Not to mention, two kosher restaurants and a full-service Dunkin’ Donuts. You know I’m loving that. I’ve already been to most of the top children’s activities in the city, including the children’s museum, the zoo, the toy lending library, and one of the city’s spray parks.
I’m heading home on Wednesday, and it’s going to be a big adjustment not to be a quick, 2-hour drive from four of my favorite kiddos, but I’m sure I’ll be back to visit soon. Here are a few of my fav pics from the move so far.
The next month is filled with a lot of things: a wedding in Toronto, a trip to Israel with an unknown return date, and hopefully getting a job. My life’s a bit all over right now, but isn’t that what it’s all about? Figuring out where we’re supposed to be? I’m just along for the ride. Xoxo, Frum Girl
